I would have the kids track the phases of the moon, having to note the position each night, with each student assigned a different night. I would give the students a report sheet where they can fill in the information posted by other students.
I would have the students create a word problem for the topic we are currently working on. I could also have them respond as to what topics are giving them difficulty.
I would like to use this instead of my e-board to post longer and more interactive ideas - but I think there are as many hurdles (different - but many) to this as with the e-boards.
I might use this with the teachers in my school. I would ask the teachers to leave comments about the math assessments that they are giving in their classrooms so that I can report back to the district committee.

Doug -
Do you use a wiki in your class?
I do not know yet.
I'm working on a wiki now - so is Mr. Braun - they offer more flexibility than the blog. I took the class with Ellen last week.
